    Job Description:

    The Operations group is offering a Co-Op assignment for 6-months, in which the student will work on a variety of projects associated with development and sustaining test processes used during the manufacturing of AEDs at the Chelmsford MA location.


    The selected student will be mentored by a Senior Test Engineer and may be involved in several activities; such as to develop and update test equipment documentation including assembly drawings, schematics, Bills of Material and wire-run list as needed, troubleshooting of production test systems; reporting the failures and corresponding root cause analysis to facilitate fixes. create/modify test plan and test scripts against the system requirements. Perform validation of test systems and fixtures in support of the company’s regulatory requirements.


    Skill Requirements:

    • Good interpersonal skills and well organized
    • Proficient in most common PC based applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • The desire and ability to learn and apply Lean/6 Sigma techniques to steer improvements to quality, cost and delivery
    • Electro-mechanical skills, to include the reading and interpretation of schematics and mechanical engineering drawings.
    • Some experience with electrical engineering test equipment, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.
    • Basic user level knowledge of software tools such as LabView and TestStand.
    • Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes, assembly and electronics test technology.
    • Troubleshooting of analog, digital and high voltage circuits. Includes computer-based systems.
    • Project planning and management skills a plus
    • Direct experience in manufacturing or production environment a plus.
    • Familiarity with FDA QSR documentation a plus.


    In pursuit of either Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical, Bio-Medical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or similar, minimum of completion of First Year with a minimum of 3.0 GPA.
