  • Overview

    Manage a team of Clinical Deployment Specialist to increase EMS sales by enhancing customer satisfaction and retention in the clinical education and implementation process.  Also perform the role of the Clinical Deployment Specialist as a player / coach role.  Reports to EMS Director of Sales.



    • Customer Support: Interface with competitive conversions and selective US EMS Customers to ensure continual product support throughout both pre- and post-sales stages, as directed by management.
    • Deployment – Support New Competitive Conversions
    1. Pre-sales awareness of Zoll products & depth
    2. Equipment set – up
    3. Post-Sales and development – (Classroom & field ride-along)
    4. Post-sale troubleshooting
    5. Post-sale follow up (6-9 months’ review)
    • “One-Zoll” – Act as a liaison in coordinating efforts amongst Zoll departments/personnel to ensure customer perception of “One-Zoll”
    1. Zoll Data Systems – Deployment team
    2. Field Sales – Territory Manager
    3. Technical Support
    4. Marketing
    • Development – Comprehensive deployment plans created for EMS customers to include the following:
    1. On-site deployment & training timelines
    2. Train-the-trainer program training & curriculum
    3. ALS & BLS training & curriculum
    4. Post-deployment satisfaction survey
    • Assignments – Time to include
    • 75-100% travel- includes overnight stays
    • Management:
    • Hire, educate, retain and promote talented Clinical Deployment Specialist
    • Foster a team environment
    • Communicate, implement, and monitor the EMS Strategic Plan as appropriate
    • Organize and schedule Clinical Specialist in the most efficient and productive manner possible to maintain the highest level of productivity
    • Guide the team and maintain reasonable and prudent expense guidelines.
    • Work with other departments within Zoll to facilitate successful deployment and in servicing.
    • Work with other departments as necessary to improve process to increase the quality of the deployments under your management.
    • Be a company expert and resource on both Zoll and competitive products.
    • Responsible for field reinforcement of products and positioning strategy
    • Represent Zoll in a professional and ethical manner
    • Lead by example, motivate and inspire your team


    • Paramedic Level or higher
    • Minimum of 3 years’ pre-hospital field experience
    • Clinical training experience (AHA-ACLS, PALS, 12-Lead, ETCO2, etc.)
    • Technical background: Troubleshooting capital equipment, resuscitation, product management preferred (cardiology a plus)
    • Good leadership skills
    • Strategic planning ability
    • Basic technical and clinical knowledge to speak competently about Zoll products
    • Intermediate computer skills
    • Knowledge of Zoll and Competitive positioning strategies
    • Ability to lift 25 lbs
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Project management and planning


    • BA/BS Degree or equivalent
