The Clinical Education Consultant (CEC) will coordinate pre-sale and post-sale customer education and training initiatives, and act as the clinical and technical expert for the ZOLL hospital product line. Within the direction of the Clinical Deployment team, the CEC works collaboratively with the Territory Manager throughout the sales process, and builds deep, long lasting customer relationships in order to encourage ongoing utilization of ZOLL hospital products and achievement of desired clinical outcomes within an account.
The CEC utilizes principles of adult learning in the assessment, program planning, implementation, and evaluation phases of the educational process. Emphasis is on competency skill assessment and development of all clinical staff through identification of learning needs. Coordination and provision of educational offerings including orientation, formal continuing education and in-services, are a major function of this role. The CEC serves as a resource to staff of all levels and provides direct training/education of newly hired staff, territory managers, and new customers through facilitation of the preceptor model.
The CEC actively participates in leadership of quality improvement processes and affecting process and protocol changes within the account’s resuscitation algorithm. Other duties assigned may include support to the sales team, speaking opportunities at trade shows, attendance at trade shows for the company booth and training to the distributor partners if needed, or other functions as needed. The successful CEC develops and maintains customer relationships and is capable of operating in a self-directive role.
