Job Summary:

The Computer Aided Engineering Specialsit coordinates the efforts of Engineers, documentation personnel and outside vendors as needed to assure new PCB design libraries and schematics are properly and expeditiously developed, documented, and released to manufacturing for prototype and production builds.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • 45% Schematic Capture support
  • 45% Library Development support including: PCB footprints, schematic symbols and part definitions
  • 10% Component obsolescence support

 

Skill Requirements:

  • Knowledge of PADS PCB software
  • Knowledge of Allegro PCB software
  • Knowledge of  Mentor  Graphics PADS Designer software
  • Schematic capture experience
  • Library development experience
  • Computer literate
  • In-depth knowledge of PCB standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Qualifications

Required/ Preferred Education and Experience:

  • AS degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent preferred
  • 1 - 3 years of experience with schematic capture and PCB library development
