    Job Summary:

    In-house junior-level corporate counsel with a focus on contracts and compliance matters.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing medical device company with a growing legal department.  This position is located in ZOLL’s corporate offices in Chelmsford, MA and will support leadership and employees at all levels of ZOLL’s Resuscitation Division.  The position reports to the Associate General Counsel.


    • Draft, review and negotiate all forms of legal agreements with customers, vendors and partners. Examples include sales contracts, supply agreements, services agreements, distribution agreements, clinical trial agreements, technology license agreements, software license agreements and SaaS agreements
    • Provide timely, high-quality analysis and pragmatic advice on legal and business issues to internal clients
    • Draft, review, manage and maintain the division’s contract templates and provide related internal training
    • Provide proactive legal and business counseling on a broad range of topics, including compliance topics, general commercial law, contract interpretation, and corporate governance
    • In conjunction with the other departments, review and advise as to company policies
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate General Counsel


    • Strong ability to analyze, interpret, respond to and draft legal documents
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Communicates clearly and frequently; actively listens
    • Hands-on leadership style, strong work ethic, and adaptive influencing skills
    • Flexibility to meet constantly changing need of the business
    • Solid business judgment with a record of strategic thinking
    • Must be highly organized and self-directed with sound time management skills and ability to multi-task
    • Strong computer skills required
    • Life sciences industry experience is desirable
    • 2-4 years of legal experience (law firm or in-house) with a transactional focus
    • Membership in good standing in at least one state bar



    • J.D. from an accredited institution
