Overview:

 

Plan, manage and maintain: ZOLL’s Web presence, including ZOLL’s global external and internal web properties; global iPad apps; social media sites; general electronic communication activities; and special projects. Establish tools for electronic marketing lead nurturing and targeted marketing, including set-up, development, and use strategies. Establish strategies for analytics of web and iPad apps, and create reports on all properties. Establish mobile strategies for web properties, including responsive design. Train and support a global team of multilingual website administrators. Help develop and execute a digital strategy for the company. Develop web marketing budget. Supervise a Web Designer and a Web Developer, and outside consultants who have responsibility for specific tasks within these areas. 

 

Responsibilities

The Manager of Digital Marketing Services will help define ZOLL’s web strategy as directed by overall corporate strategy, in cooperation with channel/product marketing Directors. The manager will supervise zoll.com, developing and maintaining the site and directing globalization/localization projects. The manager will supervise marketing automation software and provide guidance and development in automated marketing campaigns, and in integrating the site and software with other ZOLL management tools, such as SalesForce. The manager will supervise/maintain ZOLL’s other Chelmsford-based external websites and serve as a consultant to other public-facing ZOLL sites managed by other ZOLL locations, including helping in the development/migration of other ZOLL sites into the CMS. The manager will also supervise the development and maintenance of ZOLL’s library of multilingual apps and website versions of these apps for use by sales, distributors, manufacturer reps, in-house, and at tradeshows. The manager will also work with new acquisitions in incorporating their web and digital marketing processes.

 

The manager will also:

 

  • Manage the website CMS, including development, upgrades, functionality, training, content management, permissions globally
  • Supervise, train, and support internal and other locations in the use of marketing automation tools (Hubspot) for digital outbound marketing, inbound marketing, and sales development
  • Manage Marketing/Sales iPad apps, including strategy, design, and functionality. Coordinate content for these apps with the designated “iPad App Owners,” from the various marketing channels. Manage software development and analytics. Manage all internal and distributor permissions globally
  • Manage and implement SEO to help the performance of all the ZOLL web properties
  • Help build and maintain commercial grade web sites, such as distributor microsites, informational sites, and special event sites, which requires knowledge of ASP, ASPX, HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, Java Script, and XSL
  • Manage and edit the web blog to support SEO strategy
  • Manage and create PPC ads, including analytics and budgeting
  • Consult on ZOLL eLearning, including, eLearning modules, LMS development, and providing back-up support for LMS users
  • Work with ZOLL IT team from time to time on overlapping projects and/or issues
  • Supervise and help maintain an internal document storage/Intranet site which serves as the basis for app document deployment
  • Develop demos, animated pieces for websites, and interactive tools
  • Be responsible, in conjunction with the PR Manager and other division managers with social media responsibility, for developing ZOLL’s social media presence, including identifying social media opportunities across the company’s markets, training Super SMEs (Super subject matter experts) in how to manage social media within their office, training SMEs in how to maintain their own specific social media channels, and helping maintain ZOLL’s social media presence on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Wikipedia, and others as necessity demands
  • Research and monitor new platforms (mobile, etc.) to ensure accurate and useful delivery of information on new devices
  • Monitor the Internet using monitoring software to identify news of interest or concern. Help maintain the ZOLL in the News section of the zoll.com website
  • Use web analytics to analyze the performance of ZOLL web properties and implement improvements to the site based on findings
  • Use app analytics to analyze the performance of ZOLL apps and implement improvements to the apps based on findings
  • Oversee electronic advertising/promotions campaigns, including e-blasts, web banners, e-newsletters, virtual tradeshows, and SmartTag marketing
  • Manage the process of keeping all websites approved, up-to-date, and accurate
  • Manage full-time Web Designer and Web Developer to assist in completion of these tasks. Develop annual objectives and conduct annual reviews for these direct reports
  • Be able to communicate effectively with design and technical staff to gather and communicate requirements and needs; and work in an independent fashion on tasks assigned to meet required deadlines
  • Hire and manage a number of outside developer/vendors in large projects
  • Create and manage an annual budget to cover expenses associated with these responsibilities
  • Travel a few times during the year to development conferences, ZOLL internal meetings, and/or ZOLL tradeshows

 

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a team
  • 5+ years of experience in web production, digital marketing, SEO and content management. Technical and/or general familiarity with some or all of these would be most helpful: CMS, HTML, CSS, ASP, ASPX, Java Script; app development and maintenance; marketing automation programs and software; Adobe Creative Suite; Google Analytics, SEO, Web monitoring tools; Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and Microsoft SQL Server; and SQL and database applications
  • Experience in developing/maintaining social media presence
  • Solid analytical skills; solid troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, along with the ability to resolve reported bugs
  • Clear, concise writing abilities
  • Familiarity with foreign languages a plus, working knowledge a definite bonus
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with cross-browser, cross-device compatibility issues
  • Ability to work independently on focused projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

 

 

Required/ Preferred Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS Degree required
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar job required, in addition to project portfolio with strategic plans and samples of work. Prior work in a business marketing environment is required
