    The OpEx Lean Six Sigma Black Belt will lead some high value Lean Six Sigma (LSS) projects within the Operations group. Project leadership includes identifying and justifying opportunities, launching project teams, using good project management to manage team activities, leading teams to execute projects with the problem solving methodology, tracking project status and results, removing and elevating project barriers, and developing team members. He or she will also help the OpEx Manager with training and coaching of Six Sigma Green Belts


    • 50% - Complete at least 2 Black Belt Projects each fiscal year:
      • Execute 2 cross-functional DMAIC projects within operations group aligned to business objective leading to improved quality and/or cost savings
    • 25% - Training and Coaching:
      •  Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB) and operations group in use of sound statistical methods
    • 20% - OpEx Deployment:
      • Support the OpEx deployment working with the OpEx Manager: Tracking of LSS projects on Scorecard, Coordinating coaching of LSS belts, LSS project identification, reviews of LSS progress with leadership.
    • 5% - Other duties as required


    • 3-5 years of professional level experience in leading improvement teams.
    • Should have solid project management skills and team leadership skills.
    • Must have the ability to conduct statistical analysis. (Understand statistical analysis tools/methodology, project management, Lean Six Sigma, quality and basic financial principles and apply them to analyze the planned activities.)
    • Ability to lead and direct cross-functional improvement teams.
    • Must be a results-oriented 'change agent' who is an effective business systems thinker.
    • Effectively communicate with all levels to maintain relationships and cooperation in pursuing business goals.
    • Must be able to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals.


    Required Education and Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in an capital equipment design , assemble, test, service and sales environment and the application of lean six sigma process to them
    • Minimum of a Bachelor degree in a technical discipline. Masters degree in business or a technical discipline preferred .
    • Black Belt Certified
